A Yard Sale Permit is REQUIRED before conducting a Yard Sale
A Yard Sale Permit can be purchased at:
Quinlan City Hall
105 W. Main St. Quinlan, TX 75474,
Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m.-5p.m. and closed between 12-1 p.m.
No person(s) or businesses may hold more than two (2) such sales within any twelve (12) month period
A maximum of 6 off-site signs shall be allowed per approved Yard Sale
The maximum area of a Yard Sale Sign shall not exceed six (6) square feet. The maximum height of a Yard Sale Sign shall not exceed four (4’) feet (Yard Sale Signs shall not be Balloons, Wind Devices or other type of Sign)
A Yard Sale Sign shall not contain any balloons, streamers, pennants, flags, wind devices
Yard Sale signs shall not be placed on a vehicle, fence, pole, tree, median, or railing
Yard Sale Signs shall not be placed in any manner as to impede vehicular or pedestrian traffic or be placed in a manner that extends over any roadway or sidewalk
A Yard Sale Sign shall not be erected prior to 24 hours before the approved date(s) of the Yard sale, and shall be removed within 24 hours after the approved date(s) of the Yard sale
Any Yard Sale being conducted without an authorized permit, will be shut down and subject to a fine, along with yard sale signage removed immediately and shall be retained by the Code Compliance Officer for a period of not more than 10 days before disposal
Yard Sale application may be obtained here. Once completed, application and payment will need to be submitted to Quinlan City Hall for approval
Yard Sale permit cost is $5.00, per permit
